One Day at A Time

Hello dears,
Reaching for greatness is a daily walk.it just doesn't fall on us. We need to walk and work it out. As much as we do that, we are fulfilling the already laid down plans God himself has set for us. If we trust him enough to help us everyday we will enjoy the joys and pleasures he has prepared for us.
I hope this little poem will encourage you as you walk the path God has set for you.

A daily routine
Sun rises and sets
A planned programme
To everyman, he sets

Each day we run towards our goals
Forgetting he has it all planned
We gradually play our roles
Hoping we will achieve our plans

Some we do, some we don’t
Sometimes happy sometimes sad
But through it all, worry we don’t
Knowing each day was set by our heavenly dad

Seeing the joy of a new day
Brings joy for yet another run
The pleasures that comes at the end of the day
Makes us never doubt the race we run

And because he is in it
Our hearts rejoice with ease
Our plans before him
Are sure to find release

Thank you daddy for every moment
It reflects you without doubt
Thank you for daily comments
Written about us as we daily count

My friends, take each day with so much faith that the God that made you see the day has blessing ready for you to enjoy. Be joyful and thankful as you go along the day and at the end, whether it turned out the way you wanted it or not give more thanks to Him knowing that its in His plan for you and all things will work in your favour.

Enjoy your week and holiday!

ciao.

Compare Your Life With No One

Hello dearies,

Have you ever had a moment in your life when you feel where you are is not where you should be? Have you ever looked at your peers, maybe high school mates or colleagues from the university and you feel your life seems far behind? Maybe you can't seem to measure up with them in what they have achieved?

Hmmm! I would like to be sincere. I do. I do worry that it seems I have wasted some years being nonchalant with my decisions and now am facing the consequences. However, I learnt something new yesterday that changed my perspective to life.

I realised that from God's word I am not meant to compare myself with anyone. Everyone in life has different course set for them by God and the pace with which it should be run. I got to realize that my destiny in life is in His hands and all I need do is trust and follow him as he leads me through the path no matter the mistakes I have made in the past. I also learned that a man's life is not measured by what he possesses but by his rich relationship with the God he serves.

That made me so grateful to God for where I am right now and the plans he has already set for me. With this joy in my heart, he taught me that the only thing I must compare my life with is His laws and commands. My life must reflect his laws; my conduct and conversation must reflect his commands; I must love my neighbours whether or not they love me,my words must be seasoned with salt, so I answer appropriately to anyone I speak with;I should give to those in need, honour my parents and honour God with the best of my life and resources he has given me. If I can do this, then daily my life will reveal his will and glory. I won't have to compare my life with anyone.

So I encourage you my friends today, look back at your life and give God thanks. You are alive and have the reason to give thanks and be hopeful. Even if you feel you have wasted time, if you can trust him and obey his commands he will make things happen to you speedily.

Stop comparing yourself with anyone. You are unique and there is no one on earth like you. Your destiny in life is meant for you and not for anyone. Pursue God and be careful only to measure your life with his commands and nothing or no one else. Stay strong my friends.

How relevant are you?

Hello dears,
Have you really observed that everything around you is fulfilling its purpose no matter how small it is? For example, the sun rises to give light, heat, let you know the day has begun, dries up things and preserves. It has multiple purposes and fulfills them everyday. The wind blows, refreshes and helps in flying. The tree gives us shade, its back produces wax and other medicinal products and also produces fruits.

What about a car? it provides mobility with comfort at a short time.
Go ahead, think about everything around you and observe its relevance. The smallest things around us are so relevant and functions daily even though we barely observe them whether inanimate or animate: a wrist watch, a pen, a backpack, a book, paper, everything. However irrelevant they seem, they are fulfilling a purpose or functioning in what they are meant to do.

The question here is, what about you?

Have you given it a thought if you are really functioning where you are and relevant? Are you where you should be?

Take a time out now and just think for few minutes. Can say you are meeting a need or fulfilling a purpose?
If you are, that is great, if not start now. If you are, the next step will be how well are you fulfilling your purpose? Excellently or shabbily, active or passive?

Besides, what else can come out of what you are doing now? The creator of this earth created things in layers, the more you look into what you have now, the more you can get out of it and the greater it can become. It can be remodeled, repackaged, renewed, reused or recycled.

Come to think of this,of all his creations we are his most treasured, that means there are so many potentials packaged inside of you that you need to bring out and use to fulfill purpose greatly. Thus, put on your thinking cap, create and recreate. While you are at it, make sure whatever you produce care for people, meets a need, heal lives, invest in people, solve problems and add value to lives.

If its a poem that you write, write well, spread it out,get a book out of it,write on a blog, let people be inspired and changed for good.

I pray this week will be for you a renewal of mindsets that will establish and make your purpose fulfilled.

Do have a beautiful week.

Community-Our First Step to Change

According to dictionary.com commune means "to converse or talk together, usually with profound intensity, intimacy; interchange thoughts or feelings;to be in intimate communication or rapport; interchange of ideas or sentiments". This summarizes that, for there to be a communing there has to be more than one person involved and a willingness from both parties to exchange ideas and contribute to one another.

The word "community" stems from this word commune and this means a group of people having common interest. The beauty about any community is the oneness shared by the members of the group and the opportunity for leaning on one another during times of distress.

Hmmmm! that's very difficult to find in my country(Nigeria) and so many other countries. We are powerful individuals, wanting to establish ourselves and our immediate family, starting out businesses on our own and never knowing how to expand to accommodate more people for better development of the business, we think too much of ourselves we become suspicious of anyone who could help, our next door neighbour becomes our competition...hmmmm so sad.

The funny thing is, its really getting worse and I hope we will soon realize that we will make a change better and faster in our country only if we start out as a community before a nation.

I am always shocked at the way we even approach customers, who are bringing money to us for the services we claim to render and cannot connect our salary to their money...hmmmm We complain about our leaders and forget that these leaders were first formed in the community before they became leaders and it is the quality of what they have taken in as youngsters that will show when they are adults.

I strongly believe Nigeria will change but I know that until we change the way we treat each other and start valuing one another as first a community, taking care of our streets, gutters, waste , and everything that is close to us, Nigeria wont change no matter the prayers we pray. Its our responsibilities as individuals to consciously correct wrong mindsets and opinions around us if we really want to see any visible change.

I have no doubt that change is possible, its around the corner, its in us, on our streets, at our office place, everywhere and if you believe with me and start where you are now, then we have started out on a good pace.

I love you all and will see you at the top. Thanks for reading.

ciao.

Oh! This Generation

 Hello Dearies,
I wrote this poem this morning and I would like to share it with you to encourage us. Its easy for us to be distracted in our environment as a result of so many factors that influence our thinking and sense of value. But keep this in mind my friends, no matter where you are, the principles that guard this earth will always remain the same and will work for as many that are ready to comply with them.

I hope this poem, helps us in reevaluating our values and sense of purpose.

Oh this generation!
How come you have become so lazy
Daily getting busy
and turning yourself crazy

So many hustling
With our streets bustling
with noise and screaming
yet non increasing

One would have thought
as busy as we show forth
results should be brought
with excellent works

But the bribes
The wrong strides
takes people on a drive
to the wrong sides

Oh this generation
so much demand for production
yet few instructions
to lead them on the path to great succession

Oh this generation of men
take heed,open your ears
making it, is meeting needs
see beyond now and take heed

Take heed friends, work hard but make sure you are meeting a need.

Do have a great week.

Do Right! Act Right

Hello dears,
Happy new months...I must say, since we have not been in touch for a long while.
For me, its been miracles upon miracles, with testimonies of God's favour upon me.What about you?
Am glad you are reading this post and for me, its a great privilege.

No matter how morally deficient and bad a society is, there are still some people who seek God's face  and do what is right. No matter how everyone seems to be doing the bad things and the environment seems to justify such acts, some people still know and stand by and for the truth.

The question I would like to ask everyone and myself is that are you one of these people who stand for what is right and for justice in all you do? Do you seek to rescue the poor and oppresses or the disadvantaged or do you just do your own thing as it suits you?

The truth is no matter who you are, God sees your heart-motive and thoughts towards others and if it is bad, rewards will be for what you think and do to others.
Stand for what is right and do the right thing even when others refuse to.

-walk straight
-act right
-tell the truth from your heart at all times
-dont hurt a friend with your tongue
-dont blame your neighbour-take responsibility
-despise the vile/wicked person
-and keep your oath even when it hurts you....

If you do these, God himself will fight your battles, redeem you and bring you to a place of authority for restoration in any place you work.
I pray the Grace to stand for what is right and do these will be poured on us.

Do have a wonderful week

Ciao.

As You Think So You Become

Hello there,
Happy New Year to you my dear readers. Its great to know we made it into Year 2012. Its a new year and a new level for you too.

Every human being was created twice. First in the thoughts of God,the creator of everything and then in the physical. When we were in God's thoughts, He planned our identity, where we will be born and to whom, what we should accomplish in life and most importantly the problems we are to solve.

Our time of birth is in correlation with the problem we are to solve at that time. However, the question is what problem do we think God has packaged in us the solution?

Besides, in the physical when we are aware of who we are;the circumstances surrounding us beclouds us from seeing the real us inside. The contrasting thing about this situation is that God relates to everyone of us with what we think and see of ourselves inside. Life responds to our thoughts.

How do you see your environment? Do you see Good or Bad,Light or darkness? Do you see hope for certain circumstances that looks beyond hope? If God relates with what is within us,then what is within you now?(stop for a moment and calmly think about this). What seems to be your most dominant thoughts? Are they good or bad?

Personally, I had a very bad habit of complaining when things are not good. Overtime, I found out that it doesn't change the situation, so I stopped complaining and started thinking of how I can make the situation better. Especially in my country Nigeria, there is almost nothing you won't complain about;inadequate infrastructures, poor education, non-working systems from the highest level to the lowest, inadequate jobs for graduates....the list continues.

Later, I found out that I have a part to play in bringing about change and solving a problem in my country. To share this with you my readers;
I love to make a place beautiful;dirts makes me so upset while making a place beautiful gives me so much fulfilment. However, My country is not clean at all. Instead of seeing the problem, I have started seeing the different job openings to be created from it-"RECYCLING"

I know it will take some years for this to become a reality because there are so many battles to confront and policies to create in order to establish recycling in our country, but I know if  I see it within then the God who placed the solution within me will see me through it.

This is just one of many. What about you my readers? What problems do you think you have been called to solve and have you started working towards them? It will be a great honour if you briefly share with us what solutions you have within.
Hope to hear from you. Change is here, right within us and we will not miss it.

Do have a lovely week.
Ciao.
