Comforted to Comfort others

Our lives are filled with  diverse experiences  both good and bad. Some has made us bitter, angry and sad, while some has made us better, happy and glad. The truth is, who we are right now results from our responses to our experiences which has shaped our way of thinking,judgement and disposition to life.

However, the reason for these experiences supersedes us. When we experience some situations and get out of them or (maybe not), it is not only for ourselves, it is for us to comfort and encourage others who will go through the same situation in the future or who are presently going through it and does not know how to get out of it.

This is what happens: let's say you failed an examination before and this experience made you very unhappy. You went through a time of crying,feelings of guilt and failure,maybe it even delayed you from moving forward with your mates and you felt very bad. But then, you got encouraged by someone, or you encouraged yourself and studied hard, prepared well and rewrote the exams and passed excellence:  this experience is not only for you, you already have a story to tell someone in a similar situation and help the person get out of it,making them have a better life.

That is what it really means to comfort others, to add value to others, to help others and to make God happy which is the ultimate in life.

Our experiences in life must go beyond self-aggrandizement,enjoying it all alone. God allows us to go through some experiences  in order to make us strong and to help others by strengthening them and comforting them. It doesn't matter the situation maybe from inadequacies to abundance,failure to success,barrenness to fruitfulness, telling our stories goes a long way to reach out and help others.

Keeping quiet is just being selfish. God wants us to talk about how he helped us so that others can trust him and turn to him also for help. So my friends, as you think through your life what experiences have you that will help others, please take time to share with us at the comment section. You don't know who really needs help around you until you start speaking of your challenges and how you overcame them through God.

Also, know that life is filled with daily experiences,so prepare for them with the heart not only to enjoy but to also help others too.

Its a new week with new experiences and as you surmount them take time to share with anyone around you and be ready to listen to others share their experiences too.

Don't give up! You are already at the edge of a miracle.

MAKING WHERE YOU ARE EXCITING

Every environment is the product of the people living in it. An environment can only develop to the level of the thoughts in the mind of its inhabitants. Thus, we have the responsibility to make it what we want it to be. An environment is vast; it extends from the home where we live to our office where we work, our schools where we study, our market where we trade, our buses/cars our means of transportation, in the church/mosque our place of worship, anywhere. Think about it my friends, where you are right now did not just appear, someone made it what it is and the someone is you and I.
So, we have a big responsibility to make wherever we find ourselves what we want it to be. If you are at work, or the CEO of a company, or bargaining at the market with a seller, you are the one that will make the environment a tensed, exciting or relaxed one. This simply means that you have the ability to create where you are and/or recreate it if it is not good.
How would you like an environment to be? Exciting, fun, peaceful, sociable? You have to make it like that. For example, in Nigeria today our environment is what we see because that is what we created, we did it ourselves; dirty, tensed, rough, noisy, pollution and also wickedness. We aren’t courteous, we don’t love each other, or treat one other well, we shout a lot on each other, it is not good, it makes us stressed, worn-out and not good looking which invariably affects our environment.

If we want to see things different, we need to start doing things differently.
Sam Adeyemi, a motivational speaker of success power once said that “Nigerians know what they don’t want but Nigerians don’t know what they want”.
I want to agree with that because we all complain about everything, thinking our complaints will change what is not right, forgetting that we created what is wrong and for us to see new things we need to start seeing it within and recreating it Individually, collectively, as a community, a society and as a nation.
This principle applies to every area of our lives; in marriage you (husband and wife) are the ones to make your marriage, home, environment exciting not the media, home videos or the internet. If you want your marriage to work you need to see it working and make it work.
In business, you want your workers/staffs to be productive, make the environment exciting, warm, safe not tensed or trampling and affecting their self esteem. As time grows and as this continues, their countenance reflects on their job. If it’s good, productivity increases, if not staffs resign and productivity reduces. Think of any area, you are the one responsible to make it exciting.
This is a new year my friends, how do you want it to be? Great, awesome, increase at work, promotion? What are your goals? You are the one to work them out. If your environment is dirty, quit complaining, clean it, make it what it should be.
This year I believe is a wonderful year for as many who are ready to make it what they want it to be for them. My friends, I challenge you today, to go all the way this year, trusting God to go with you in all your plans as you work them out.
